perfect climate but it also has music, museums, theatre, art galleries,
festivals and heritage attractions. Skyreach Place, a 6000 seat multi-plex
facility, hosts world class entertainment and business events year round.
Tracing the history of Okanagan fruit growing, the
B.C. Orchard Industry Museum is a source of knowledge, delight
and surprise. Located in Kelowna's first heritage building, the museum
welcomes visitors year-round for tours and special events. Featuring
exhibits on fruit picking, packing, processing a marketing, the museum
is an enjoyable and educational experience for all. Come and see the
50 foot model railway display.
In
addition to its many touring exhibitors, the gallery maintains
a permanent collection of works significant to the region. Organized
on a theme of 'Images from the Land', the collection offers something
for everyone. Come and see works from the Okanagan, Canada and abroad.
The Okanagan Wine Festival is a ten-day
celebration of wine, food and the festive spirit found throughout the
Okangan Valley. You'll enjoy vineyard picnics, gourmet dinners, tasting
tours, grape stomps and a variety of delightful special events - each
one showcasing the award-winning vintages of over two dozen valley wineries.
